The greater roadrunner is 56 centimeters long and it weighs 300 grams. It is all dark brown except for a blackish-blue spot near its eye. They have a dark brown bill. It's tail is longer than it's body. This amazing bird is a vertebrate (has a backbone.) The greater roadrunner is warm blooded (regulates or makes its own temperature) animal.

The greater roadrunner is found in the grasslands located in the southwestern United States. They have black and white spots and a dark brown tail and bill, which helps them blend in with its surroundings. Camouflage enables the greater roadrunner to fool their enemies.

The greater roadrunner eats insects & other small birds that fly low on the ground. This animal is a consumer (has to find its own food.)This great animal is a omnivore(eats meat and vegetables.) It can eat scorpions
